MMDVM Repeater Dial-a-TG

Step 3 \u2013 MMDVM DMRGateway Repeaters <\/span>(6 Dig ID)<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n

Via MMDVM DMR Gateway and Dial-a-TG.
\nOnly Repeater 6 DIG IDs can use the setting below.
\nGateways 7 DIG IDs join as Hotspot<\/a> or contact us to be listed under Repeaters.<\/em><\/p>\n

Install<\/span><\/h5>\n

Install FreeDMR MMDVM. (Still in Beta)<\/em><\/p>\n

To make Repeaters easy to access for users on the FreeDMR Network<\/span><\/h5>\n

All users will need in the radio is two channels.
\nTG 9 on Slot 1\u00a0\u00a0 =\u00a0\u00a0 Local RF
\nTG 9 on Slot 2\u00a0\u00a0 =\u00a0\u00a0 Dial-a-TG<\/p>\n

All other Talk Groups are blocked, unless using Dial-a-TG<\/a> on TG 9 Slot 2<\/p>\n

This is the option we would like all repeaters to use.\u00a0 Easy to use for end users.<\/p>\n

It is recommended you use DMR Gateway<\/p>\n

Dial-a-tg
\n<\/span><\/h5>\n

This lets users call Dial-a-TG<\/a> on TG9 Slot 2, via Private Call<\/strong> or Group Call<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If you want to<\/span><\/h5>\n

Add One<\/strong> Static Talk Group on Slot 1 see yellow line<\/span>. (No static talk groups should be used on Slot 2)<\/em>
\nAdd Cluster to TG9 Slot 1, see orange line<\/span>.<\/p>\n

That is you all set-up on FreeDMR UK<\/p>\n

Table –<\/span><\/h5>\n

Magenta<\/span> lets you call a Talk Group on “Dia-a-TG<\/a>” via a Group call<\/strong>.
\nThis means all types of radios can use Dial-a-TG either via Private Call<\/strong> or Group Call<\/strong>. (This only works via TG9 Slot 2 and Dial-a-TG)
\n<\/em>This is the option we would like all repeaters to use down the line.\u00a0 Simple and easy to use for end users.<\/p>\n

Blue<\/span> is to let Group Call 9990<\/strong> Echo<\/a> pass.
\nCan be either from a Channel set to Group Call<\/strong>, or via Manual Dial Group Call<\/strong>.
\n(Remember, the 1st PTT only opens Echo, and it is the 2nd PTT when you speak goes to Echo and Back to you.)<\/em><\/p>\n

Orange<\/span> is Cluster via TG9 Slot 1. (Example 2359)<\/em>
\nIf you want true local only, leave out section and use TG9. TGRewrite=1,9,1,2359,1 and TS1=2359;<\/em><\/p>\n

Yellow<\/span> shows what is static (23510) on Slot 1
\nIf you want true local only, leave out section and use TG9. TGRewrite=1,23510,1,23510,1 and TS1=23510;
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Green <\/span>shows what the default Dial-a-TG<\/a> is set as.<\/p>\n

Get<\/span> Status<\/b><\/span><\/h5>\n

To enquire about the Talk Group linked. Manual Dial 5000 Private Call<\/b> or Group Call<\/strong>, PTT and the repeater will respond with the currently linked Talk Group.<\/p>\n

Users<\/span><\/h5>\n

Can go to any Talk Group on the FreeDMR network via Slot 2 – TG 9 and Dial-a-TG.<\/a>
\nNo more rebuilding code plugs when they wish to use a New Talk Group.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Just manual dial them.
\nRepeater is split into two and users do not need to think about what Talk Group goes on what slot.
\nSlot 1 = Local
\nSlot 2 = Network<\/p>\n

As all traffic is on TG 9.
\nUsers will never miss any traffic on the repeater as they did not have a Talk Group added to their code plug.
\nSimple and easy to use.<\/p>\n
